"I ♥ Greece" Inspired by H&M ?????

Looks as if Stardoll was inspired by H&M to create these Lace up Ankle Boots for Greece Day right?!?! I have to say that these shoes are actually my favourite (I wear them all the time!!) so (of course) I immediately bought them at Stardoll too!! The real-life ones cost

€39.95 and you can find them at H&M all around the world! (well actually you could. I don't think they are available any more...)

I ♥ Greece!!!

Hey everyone!! Since today, 25th March, is a national day and holiday for Greece, Stardoll has release some "I ♥ Greece" items.. And since I am a Greek-Cypriot I feel like I should tell you a couple of things about these items (that Stardoll doesn't say).

The weird brown thing is actually the Parthenon, the most famous monument of Greece. The Parthenon is a temple of the Greek goddess Athena , whom the people of Athens considered their protector. Its construction began in 447 BC and was completed in 438 BC on the Athenian Acropolis, although decorations of the Parthenon continued until 431 BC. It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece. On 26th September 1687, after the Ottoman Turk conquest, the explosives that the Turks stored in it exploded and the Parthenon and its sculptures were severely damaged. These sculpture, now known as the Elgin Marbles or the Parthenon Marbles, were stolen in 1816 by the British and are now displayed in the British Museum in London. The Greek government is committed to the return of the sculptures to Greece, so far with now success.

Also, Anna Vissi, the new Superstar Doll, is Greece's most famous singer! She's won many awards and has made hundreds of concerts!! She actually comes from Cyprus (my country!!) and not from Greece as most of you migh have thought...

Endangered Species: FREE Red-Eyed Tree Frog!!!

"Red-eyed tree frog is a strikingly colorful little nocturnal inhabitant of the rainforests of South America and Central America. A tree dweller with huge, shockingly red eyes, bright neon green body, and red or orange feet. The sides of the red eye tree frog are sky blue marked by brilliant yellow stripes, and its underbelly and legs are bright blue. As if all that color drama was not enough -- each toe pad on the red eye tree frog is a tiny suction cup and these creatures are excellent jumpers, living most of their lives in the trees. The red eye tree frog is such a colorful cutie that it has become an iconic ambassador for the campaign to save the rainforests. Its habitat which is shrinking at an alarming rate. Conservationists hope the dazzling red eye tree frog will remind people of the amazing creatures our rainforests hold, and the importance of preserving these wild habitats"
